The connection between the Metaverse and Ethereum

I am very worried that all profit-oriented centralized companies like Facebook are not in line with the concept of Metaverse. Metaverse needs a parallel world of open source, equality, and freedom. Everyone can be free and build your own social relationships in it. But a centralized organization, an interest-oriented organization, will it become a mere corporate VR or AR world? I think it is very possible.

These technologies are all asset deposit certificates. So ETH going up recently is related to Metaverse. Probably Ethereum blockchain will be the infrastructure of Metaverse. Ethereum coin is its universal currency. Due to the iteration of smart contracts, these technologies may support the development of many Metaverse projects in the next few years.
