How will staking after 2.0 work?

Apologies if I'm being a dumb-dumb.

I currently am staked with BETH. I know we can do a 1:1 transfer following the switch. But if I decided to hold the BETH would it continue to accrue interest?

Plan to hold long-term and might as well have it work for me.
