Hashrate 2-4 MH/s on gtx 980, is it low?

Running ubuntu with gminer the card I am running in gtx 980 with KAWPOW. The nvidia drivers should be up to date. The gpu have not heated up. I been googling around and the rate seems slow compared to what others have reported? I have not found any good guides for linux only windows. Where should I start looking for problems with the card setting, ubuntu, gminer or something else? I am total noob, sorry for if it is an bad question
