What happens to my ETH coins after 2.0?

Hi. I’ve done an initial search and haven’t really found a clear answer so was hoping someone here could break it down.

What exactly happens to my original ethereum coins once 2.0 is out and official? I currently hold them with Coinbase.

Do they just turn into 2.0 coins? Do I have to convert them? Do I lose anything during the switch. Do I have to do anything at all myself?

Apologies if this is a dumb annoying question but I just can’t seem to find an answer. Thanks!
