Difference public key vs address
Hello,
currently trying to understand the tech behind crypto.
What is the difference between the two mentioned? In most articles they are just used synonymously, but as I understand the address is a hashed public key.
- For what purpose hash something that can be public anyway?
- The address is where you send ETH, but what is used to verify the signature, is it public key or address?
