Dollar cost averaging vs one time investment

I'm fairly new to crypto and was wondering would it be wiser to DCA ethereum or put a larger amount of money in at once due to transaction fees and I can't imagine the ETH price going down regularly enough for DCA to be beneficial. Any advice is appreciated thanks.
