New to crypto, should I buy more or wait?

Hey y’all, FINALLY decided to start investing in crypto. I bought 3k of ETH a couple weeks ago and now have a 25% return. However I would now like to invest another 2k but if I do that now, won’t my return drop significantly as my average cost will go up? I’m in it for the long haul so I know it shouldn’t matter.

But being that crypto can be very volatile, should I just be patient and wait until it dips back around my average cost or even lower if it ever does? Just looking for tips on how y’all like keep investing in eth, sorry if it’s a very amateurish question. Would appreciate any input, thanks y’all.
