Question about ETH fee

Hey guys I’m trying to swap some stuff on uniswap. I’m see the miner fee for ETH is around $50. Is this normal? Should I wait a couple hours will it drop down to atleast a semi reasonable price? I’m pretty new to crypto and always avoid ETH just due to the fees
