tried to mint an nft on a public sale, but the transactions were canceled

there was a public sale nft, i tried to mint nft several times, all the transactions were canceled, but one of them now hangs in the waiting status dropped for over 8 hours. of course public sale is already completed and all nft sold out. should i cancel the transaction by paying an additional gas fees, or the transaction will cancel itself after some time after processing?
