Crypto Inspired 24/7 Stock Trading

What are you thoughts on the stock market being open 24/7 for anyone to use? Currently you can do this through futures but you would have to wait for the market to open for your trades to settle, which suck. One issue people will bring up is liquidity, not enough people trading overnight so prices will be more volatile, but what if there was a solution to this problem, like what we have in crypto? Next time you hear news on the weekend about a certain stock you'll be able to act on it immediately instead of waiting till monday 9:30 am. This seems like a no brainer to me, what do yall think?
