Can u run one rig with two PSUs

Hey i have a hp prodesk g2 lying around it has 4 slots for gpus but problem is power , as it has 8 pin for lower i cant upgrade psu can i power the GPUs with a separate PSU and the gpu will be on risers so all the power will be coming from a separate PSU
