(new here) How to buy crypto on ethereum mainnet without paying $100 in fees?

The other day I wanted to buy $100 worth of a new crypto on UniSwap on ethereum mainnet, but noticed that the fees were over $100.

Is there a way to buy crypto such as this one Boruto Inu without paying such ridiculous fees? I noticed that coingecko shows Ethereum as a platform for certain cryptos, but is ethereum mainnet on UniSwap the only place to buy them or there's a cheap alternative?
