Dividends Paid in Asset Tokens Mechanics

I've been thinking about dividends. I remember reading that if the dividend amount being paid cannot be evenly paid out, the remainder is awarded to the miners. But, from what I understand, it is possible to pay a dividend in an asset token. Like for example, Coca-Cola decides to list its shares on RVN, then issues a dividend in a USD stablecoin asset token. So what happens then? Would miners receive that token as a surprise bonus as they would have with a RVN remainder?
