How does tokenisation of assets work? Ie assetising a mineral resource?

I'm wondering how token's in ravencoin would work, like say, a gold mine with 1 million tonnes of gold, how would we represent that via a ravencoin/nft chain?

Ie, 1 million tonnes of gold, 1 million tokens?
