Dusting attacked on erc20

I’ve noticed 7 or 8 random tokens/coins in my erc20 wallet – but surely if it were a dusting attack and the sender sent 1000s of them, it would cost them an absolute fortune in gas fees?

I obviously won’t be touching any of them.
