I don’t like Ethereum change my mind

I don’t understand for the life of me the maximalist view on eth. What market is it going for? Some of the weak aspects of eth I feel are often overlooked like realistically what is it really even the best at anymore decentralization? Number of projects atm?Its going to be a while until it gets even close to as cheap as other protocols. No hate just genuinely confused maybe I don’t understand.
