Sent ETC to ETH wallet by accident, how can I recover the coins?

I sent my ETC on Coinbase Wallet to my ETH on Trust Wallet by accident. Is there anyway to recover these coins or are they lost? Gas tracker is showing confirmed but no balance in my Trust Wallet. This was a couple of months ago. I read something about syncing an ETC node, but no idea what this means or how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
