Becoming Blockchain Dev?

Hi guys, As a Linux Admin for some years and some 'basic' knowledge in couple programming languages I have decided to dive into Blockchain development..

So wanted to ask you, what would be the best way that might land me a job in the future that might even be not only used in eth? I have already read some threads on reddit, people recommending ethereum.org. Are there any free courses that you would recommend?
