Heat issues 3070 ti

Hey guys so I’m mining RVN on my 3070 ti that’s basically brand new. I set it up yesterday at core clock 200 and mem 2200 and power 240. It was running great at 58 degrees Celsius and 68% fan speed. I got greedy and changed the settings to some crazy numbers I found online. Instantly heat jumped up and fan ran at 100 percent. I quickly changed it back in panic and now I cannot get the fan rate to drop back down as it ran before even at all the same settings. It now runs at 80 percent fan speed where before it was 68 just doesn’t make sense. Could it be possible i damaged something?
