Struggling with Synching Headers, and loading blocks on Raven Core

I've been trying to install the Raven Core wallet for a few days now, and almost never get past syncing headers. The wallet always stops responding and forces me to close it. The 1 or 2 times I have successfully synced headers, I only get a few weeks into the blocks, and the application experiences a "critical error" (or something like that"), which crashes the application. Gone through many uninstalls and reinstalls already. Any idea what needs to be fixed?

I don't have a clue what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
