About asset ownership
I was looking at the RVN assets, and they seem like there is near infinite use cases for them. Two of which I'm particularly interested in are:
- anonymous identification: A system which could technically be used to replace current 2FA/MFA authentication mechanisms and maybe even password logins
- name certification: think current certificate authority type of identification
However, to achieve those there needs to be some way to prove ownership of assets.
I think anonymous identification should not pose any problems because you can just plug in your hardware wallet / other wallet application and authorize your keys to be read and the application can then verify your assets, and possibly select from multiple existing ones.
Now, the latter one I'm not so sure about. How would websites and programs prove their ownership of assets, and how would clients verify those?
