Mining with two cards on an msi b450 Tomahawk

Can I mine with two cards on an msi b450 tomahawk? Currently have a 2080 super but looking at adding another card. It looks like the second slot is pcie 2.0 not really sure if that matters for mining. So my two questions are can I do it and will the second slot performance be just as good as first slot.
