How to Gift ethereum?

A friend gets married and i would like to gift him with 250$ worth of ethereum. what are the best ways to do that?

i thought of opening a new wallet on MetaMask and provide him with the seed words for the wallet so he can restore that wallet and take the eth, is it a good solution or i can do better?
