Is TeamRedMiner pushing your cards?

Since changing over to TRM 0.8.3 it seems to have pushed my wattage up by about 24w and my Nitro 8GB is running at 100% fan all the time. Has anyone else noticed anything similar? I have to say though, one of my cards is an MSI RX 470 Gaming and it's getting 11-12 MH/s which is good for a 4GB card!
