Am I the only one hesitant about this Amazon stuff?

I feel like we push any potential bullish adoption news way before we have any solid info on it which is dangerous. "Amazon is looking to hire people to explore crypto payment integration" is the news. Not some "insider confirms Amazon payments by the end of 2021". That's just a recipe for disaster. All it will take is an Amazon rep to discount this "rumor" and boom we're dumped.
The adoption of crypto is well underway, we know that. I can feel it in my plums. We need to step back and just let it happen rather than getting inpatient and running these sketchy stories about "insiders revealing a certain date/time shit will happen".
That's all, rant over. I love y'all and wish you the best.
EDIT: It's really comforting to see I'm not alone on this one. In fact, in reflecting that's why I think I frequent this glorious subreddit so often. To be reminded I'm not alone in this often-times emotional journey through the crypto-verse. Just to clarify, I don't think this pump was due to the Amazon "news" although it most likely contributed a bit. The liquidation of shorts seems to be the largest contributor. Additionally, I'm quite familiar with the "buy the rumor, sell the news" motto. To reiterate my argument is that the "rumor" could have been left at the Amazon job posting. I feel we always try to take it a step further by endorsing these claims from "insiders" which is unnecessary. And THAT is where things get sticky…
