Why raven?

Total noob here. Still trying to learn about everything. And I may be barking up the wrong tree here. But I’ve a simple thought that maybe some of you wise owls might enjoy answering as I’m so intrigued about people’s views and opinions.

Why mine raven, not eth? Or other coins.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve started with raven for 3 weeks now and loving it. But, I’ve met some non-believers recently and they were looked down on ravencoin and other various alt coins, their opinion was that you should only mine eth, convert 60% to Bitcoin, keep 35% in Eth, then convert 5% to alt coins. But as far as I can see, unless you bought Bitcoin years ago, it’s not worth chasing. Even eth can plunge at the fingers of Elon musk, it’s volatile, but I think it’s a bit late to start chasing it now. Better off supporting alt coins as they have better growth potential.
