Cypherpunk Hal Finney, a legend.

I really feel like not a lot of people are aware of Hal Finney and more people should know about him.

If you dont know what a cypherpunk is then Wikipedia explains it as "A cypherpunk is any individual advocating widespread use of strong cryptography and privacy-enhancing technologies as a route to social and political change".

I have concluded a few facts about Hal Finney.

• He received the first BTC transaction from “Satoshi Nakamoto".

• He was a cryptography enthusiast and had been in it way longer before the idea of bitcoin.

• In 2004 he contributed to the first creation of a reusable proof of work system. This would help in creation of BTC in the future. Hal wrote about rpow here if anyones interested https://nakamotoinstitute.org/rpow/

• His work has greatly contributed to what cryptocurrency is today and we should appreciate his efforts and not forget about him.

• Some say he couldve been Satoshi Nakamoto himself but Hal had been asked that and he denied every single time.

-Lastly, Hal died in 2014 due to ALS and is with us no more but his legacy shall continue.

I started reading about him not too long ago and just wanted to share all this with you guys.
