What is wrong with my 3080 Ti?
I have an EVGA XC3 Ultra Gaming RTX 3080 Ti, and the only way I can get anywhere close to its potential hashrate is to use these settings: +0 vcore, -450 [8801 MHz] (afterburner) or -550 (x1 precision) vram, 80% power (~280W).
76% TDP will drop me to 250W, but if I let’r rip at full power, or even 104% (odd max, but there it is), power draw doesn’t exceed like 290W.
My vcore always hovers around 900 MHz, unless I drop the TDP below 80. Increasing or decreasing vcore offset does nothing!
If I increase the vram my hashrate drops. And if I raise my vram above ~1200, video crashes, sometimes system crashes.
The hashrate I get is around 48-49 MH/s using my odd settings. I should just say it is what it is and not tinker anymore, but when I see others getting 58MH/s, I wonder what I need to do to get at least low 50’s. Anyone else with an XC3 Ultra have the same issue I have? Or is my card a qualifier for worst silicon lottery ticket?
Side note: my gigabyte aorus master 3070 uses typical settings you’d find anyone using (+150 vcore, +1350 vram, 55% power) and I get normal ~31MH/s. (If I set tdp to 80 I get over 33MH/s, but at 215W, vs 150 at lower power)
