New to Raven but interested in tokens from my miner

So if my understanding is correct I can create my own token on the Blockchain by burning 500 raven? Would I then be able to use that as my own little local currency for example if I wanted to do a poker game with a handful of friends? Would it require a wallet? Does anyone have a good website or YouTube tutorial they'd recommend? Thanks!
