Convincing friends and family into crypto isn’t worth it

I’ve seen a lot of posts about people who have convinced friends, family, colleagues etc. to invest in crypto, only for it to drop and their relationships suffer. Family blame them for lost savings, friends cut contact and colleagues become a nightmare to work with. Those new to crypto often don't develop the HODL mindset and, perhaps because they didn't join ‘organically’ due to a respect for the technology, they often feel like it is a mistake in the short term.

Whilst noble and often coming from a good place, I just don’t think it is worth risking those relationships by convincing others to invest into certain projects/coins. By all means, educate, inform and support, but any further and some responsibility must lie with the convincer if the convinced over-extends and suffers during a crash.

My close family and friends know that I’m involved and I have said that I am happy to answer any questions if I can, but going any further seems like dangerous territory to me.

TLDR; don't risk your relationships by convincing others into crypto
