Best way to keep ravencoin for the future?

I have 10k+ ravencoin that I would like to not look at, and keep for a long term investment. Can I simply create a wallet, send the tavencoin to this wallet, and recover it at any time with the recovery phrase? Is there a better way to store it long term?
