question about possible scam

Guys..Im new to crypto..a few months now, and im learning a lot and have started a portfolio. i keep getting invitations to buy AOP tokens and will he given Etherlite tokens.

It sounds very fishy, and ive decided to stay away from it, but can you guys help me and my education process so that i can understand why its a scam .
