Ravencoin Tip Bot Asset Showcase/Experiment?
I seen a post on here very recently talking about people wanting a Ravencoin tip bot for the subreddit. Some users stated that they would be willing to throw in Ravencoin for it. I understand basics of code, but mostly in C# not python.
I have contacted someone familiar with python and praw. They are willing to make this bot a reality for $200 I didn't go in depth and they may charge a bit more if we decide to add advanced functionality. They would include source code and if we have any python coders in this subreddit I'd be happy to share that with them or anybody in general.
I have wanted a tip bot here as well, but I was unsure how many other people wanted it. Judging by the post there is a demand for it and like stated in the post it might bring some attention to Ravencoin and I'm all for that.
Just speculating here, but let's show people what Ravencoin can do. I would be willing to create an asset that represents the tip bot. There could be 200 representing each dollar or 20,000 to represent each penny. We could all agree that the tip bot holds a percentage of tips. 1% or 0.5% something small, but for everyone that has contributed, the percentage that the tip bot holds, would be redistributed to the shareholders every so often so they would receive dividends from their investment. This might be the advance functionality I was talking about.
This would show the world a glimpse into what Ravencoin can do. Our tip bot would be unique. Our tip bot would be a story and a showcase of this amazing technology.
I would want to hold some of the asset. Not much, but a little since I would make it by burning 500 rvn.
If someone else is willing to make the asset or make the bot that is fine by me as well I just think we have an opportunity here to do something amazing that people will use and will be around for a long time. This bot would constantly show people what Ravencoin can do.
Let's get a discussion going. I'm not 100% sure how to do everything I've listed here. So far I haven't done anything except contact someone about making the bot, but if this is something the community wants to do let's talk about it, figure it out, and make it happen!
