Someone is trying to tell me Ethereum is a scam?

I am pretty confident in the promise that Ethereum holds. However, a friend showed me this podcast episode that apparently makes the bold claim that Ethereum is a scam?

Is there any truth to what the person is saying in this video? Or is it all bullshit?
