Finally mining RVN on solar

It took a lot of research and work but I finally started cranking out the RVN hashes on my self built solar setup! I didn't have enough cash to get it mining 24/7 but it's more than enough to get me past the expensive peak hour rates here in California.

Between 4pm and 9pm our electric costs are $0.45 per kWh but at any other time it's only $0.17. The battery I ended up with will power the rig doing about 32MH/s on KawPow through those 5 hours, and the panels I got put out enough to fully charge it between 7am and 4pm.

Best part is that I can charge the battery from a standard wall outlet while the rates are low. So I am charging it every night to start the morning full, then using solar to KEEP it charged and power the rig at the same time. Doing it that way I get about 12 hours of mining per day at super cheap electric costs (5 hours at $0.17 and 7 hours on "free" solar power)!

The UPS I have powers the rig while I switch from solar back to the AC outlet too, so there is zero down time. Still have some work to do finding the perfect position for the solar panels before I lock them down but I am pretty stoked to be saving energy and running costs.
