There will eventually be the biggest treasure hunt in history for Satoshi’s wallet.

Satoshi Nakomoto, the creator behind Bitcoin, has around 5% of the total supply of Bitcoin in his wallet. Considering crypto is currently at a market cap of around $1 trillion, Satoshi's wallet is worth around $50 billion.

But let's say Bitcoin becomes the money of the world. It 100x and reaches a $100 trillion market cap. At this point, Satoshi would be worth more than $5 trillion. That's more than the GDP of every nation except China and the US. Satoshi would be a very happy man, but it's probably likely he's dead.

This means that within the next few decades we could see what could be the new blockchain pirates, hunting for Satoshi's buried treasure. Given the mind-boggling sum of money $5 trillion is, there would be a worldwide race for this wallet's password. If Satoshi has it written down somewhere, that string of characters would be the key to a treasure chest large enough to tear down the current world order. You could destroy any country, nuke whoever you pleased, and control humanity. This would probably be the greatest treasure in all of human history.

I honestly think in the next 20 years or so, we'll see criminal organizations devoted to treasure hunting to find Satoshi's password (and other lost wallets with fat pockets). Hell, with a payoff that large I'm sure governments themselves will be looking too. Even if it cost billions to find it, that's literally pennies to the dollar against the sum of Satoshi's wallet.
