What is the difference between a Dapp and open source programming?

The dapp is decentralized, and it seems like it would run into problems getting funded since the creators of the app wouldnt be paid for their labor more than those that did no labor and took advantage of the system. But linux is like this too, so in what way is Dapp difference than open source?
