[Q] Transaction stuck, wait or take action?

I used Uniswap to swap ETH for Shiba Inu, then the gas price doubled and my swap has been stuck for over 5 hours. Can I wait for the gas price to normalize and the transaction continues? Or will my paid gas fees be lost forever?
