How early in this process are we now in terms of investing in ETH? What is the future?

I read and hear many people say that the vast majority of the population are either not aware of how the cryptocurrency will soon change how we live, transact, and operate, yet also only a fraction of the total population has made the move to invest now. Although the prices went up x-fold over the past 4 months, is this still super early in the process to invest versus getting in next year when things will begin to work and function substantially more around the world?
