Crypto 4 silver/gold

As a silver stacker myself. Most bullion dealers now except BTC, ethereum, etc. my dilemma is capital gains. You don’t pay till you sell. It’s not realistic to pay CG twice. So it makes total sense that CG wouldn’t take effect until selling the bullion. Am I getting this right? If so “This is the way” country of origin (US)
