Michael Saylor on Charlie Munger’s comments that Bitcoin is ‘disgusting’: ‘Do you go to your great-grandfather for investment advice on new technologies?’
He also clarifies during the interview that he doesn’t think Charlie Munger is not qualified to give his opinion on Bitcoin because he’s old, but because he hasn’t spent the time and energy to understand how the technology works.
Saylor also made a good point of pointing out that Berkshire Hathaway are a generation behind other technology investors, which is certainly true. In the past, Warren Buffet has often been asked why they don’t invest in more technology stocks, and has replied that he didn’t invest in companies he didn’t understand.
I think we can all agree that Buffett and Munger do not have a very high level of knowledge on Bitcoin and blockchain and their comments on this topic are not very relevant.
