Crypto Staking… Pros/Cons rewards etc.

Hello all. I've been a silent follower of this sub for awhile and I'm here today to ask a couple of questions and get some answers to hopefully point me in the best directions.

I will be coming into some money soon and I'm trying to make better plans for my wife and my future.

Where is the best exchange/system for staking my cryprocurrency? And what are the pros and cons of keeping my ETH on these systems??

How do the rewards work? Is this rewards just for the next step in ETH ie. ETH 2.0
