Beginner’s Doubt

I am planning to make a sizeable investment in acquiring necessary hardware to mine RVN. I have faith that RVN's price is bound to go up in the coming months, and it will turn out a decent profit for me. My one doubt is, is what is the likelihood that RVN will shift to PoS from PoW?

I apologise if this may seem like a stupid doubt, but I don't have much knowledge regarding the same, and recently the PoW model has been criticised a lot, will this cause a massive shift from PoW to PoS, and if so, will the same happen to RVN?
