Why Metamask cost is higher than UniSwap?

During last 2 weeks, I have consistently been observing the same pattern: everything that I was going to trade on UniSwap, seemed to give best prices, than uniswap. What could be the reason, hat UniSwap returns worse prices and worse transaction fees, compared to trading directly on uni?
