Ethereum VS Rivals

Hello everybody,

Last time I checked Ethereum was about to get ETH 2.0 Rolling and was far slower than its rivals.

Can someone quickly update me on when/if ETH 2.0 is out, if slowness has been solved, and overall if there are still criticisms of Ethereum ? How does it fare against its rivals?
