Anyone else seen a massive increase in spam after becoming more active in crypto?

Basically the title. I have been a long-time lurker in some crypto subs and only very recently started posting more.

Within 48 hours I had half a dozen “group message” requests from accounts with zero karma created hours ago.

Is this a standard experience?
