As a DApp developer, what are some ways to monetise my services ?

It’s puzzling to me. If I am a centralised entity selling a particular service or product, it’s quite straightforward how to monetise my products. Some tried and trusted ways include subscriptions, memberships, and pay per use/purchase.

But if I launch a service which is decentralised, let’s say a dating app which is decentralised (I just pulled this example out of thin air) how do I as a creator of the service make money off of it ? Is making money out of your decentralised products/services against the ethos of decentralisation ? If so I find it hard to be incentivised enough to build complex stuff.
