Why do you see the same people over and over again with top posts ?

I noticed there are few people whose posts get upvoted abnormal often and they manage to be at the top of this subreddit on a daily basis.

I looked further into their accounts and saw that 99% of their comments are getting a lot of upvotes as well! Their accounts were just few months old and they all had Special Memberships (maybe to avoid getting flagged?)

The ratio of reward to upvotes/comments were very abnormal as well…
300Upvotes, 100Comments, 100Rewards…

Posts were not bad, but they weren't great as well. Many posts were just copy paste of websites and misflaird on purpose to avoid the Moon limit.

My theories:

• I guess these people own multiple reddit accounts and reward/upvote their own posts for a bigger visibility.
• They are part of an engagement group and upvote/reward each other

Also I experiened many downvotes if you say anything which doesn't fit them but these could have come from regular users as well, who are sick of hearing complaints.

Am I just overexaggerating or did some of you guys experience this as well?
