Setting up My First Raspberry Pi 3 Node Mynima Github
Hello fellow Ravens!
I am in the process of setting up my first node to help support the network through Mynima's Github found here on my Raspberry Pi 3: https://github.com/Mynima/Ravencoin_Node_RaspberryPi
I have successfully fetched and installed the two files outlined on their website. Once I check my status, I notice that the block hash is for the first block ever found on the network, and it currently says my block count is 0. Whenever I do the "ravend &" command in the terminal it is a number around 3200 and is very slowly getting higher each time I check.
Could someone please answer these questions?
-
Is the raspberry pi 3 even capable of running a node properly? If not, I'd be happy to buy a raspberry pi 4 8gb version as an upgrade.
-
Is the pi currently syncing from block 3200 to our current block on the network? Is this going to take a long time?
-
I have port forwarded port 8767 to the local IP address of my pi (both TCP and UDP). Is this the correct port?
-
I'm currently using a 32gb micro sd card for my pi, is this enough to run a node? Should I upgrade to a 64gb or higher?
Just want to say thanks in advance for this awesome community for giving me a hand getting this sorted out. Cheers! Kaw kaw!
