Been thinking…can we create a mechanism to promote and grow adoption using exactly the functionality Ravencoin is designed for?

Hello Ravencoin community. Long-time small miner, first time poster. I dipped my toe in the water with mining back in the early days of Ravencoin. I have a modest 6 GPU RX 580 rig that's served me well. Starting out, I bounced around on different cryptos initially and eventually landed on Ravencoin. For me, it wasn't a hard decision to go all in. Of all the coins I researched to understand what purpose they served, Ravencoin was the only one that in my opinion, offered real function that could have a broad impact (and the opportunity to get in early on a project with promise). It's exciting to see Ravencoin and the community continue to show promise with exciting potential.

So…great to be here and now to the point of my post. As we all know, there's lot's happening with crypto these days. NFTs especially are a hot topic. Earlier this month, there's even news about Tom Brady launching a NFT company. I'm only using NFT as an example but the point is, much happening where Ravencoin could serve as the ideal platform which NFT is one. In our community, there's much conversation around when we'll see adoption, how do we promote Raven and many saying be patient, it will happen. I do agree it will eventually happen but we all hate to also see opportunities pass us by. One member made reference the other day to BETA vs VHS which was a great analogy and definitely a valid concern (and yes, I did have a Betamax :-P). Other cryptos have marketing teams, investors, etc., but for Ravencoin, we're truly decentralized, open source, community developed, no pre-mining, etc., So how then do we market outside of word-of-mouth.?

So slooooowly getting to my point…I started thinking about how Tinaga Resort is using Ravencoin and I thought, could the same approach be used to fund a PR campaign for example. Not my area of expertise but let's say members of the community create a framework for a comprehensive PR campaign plan with milestones and funding levels required to execute each phase. Could we then use all of Ravencoin's inherent features to build the mechanism to fund, manage and execute the campaign. All the while, we demonstrate the full capabilities of Ravencoin by executing an end-to-end transparent, decentralized, immutable execution of a core business function including voting to allow the community input and a say in the direction of the campaign.

Take it a step further, could the community execute other business functions built on the Ravencoin platform such as business development. Take for example Tom Brady's venture. That solution may already be baked but let's assume it's not and we're a traditional brick and mortar business specializing in NFT platforms. We would likely task a person or team from our sales/business development department to go after that business with the incentive of commission for landing that sale. Could Ravencoin be used for the same, only the incentive is Ravencoin shares or tokens vs. fiat. Could that create an engine to empower/incentivize the community to proactively promote Raven to potential applications/adopters?

From a funding perspective, this could also be an interesting way to show application of Ravencoin for crowdsourcing. Also wondering if this could create incentive for mining pools to contribute, possibly a small percentages on occasion, certain day, etc. because they benefit from increased awareness and adoption of the platform.

So in the end, really what I'm wondering is, with all of the things we discuss needing for Raven to grow and succeed, can can the answer be tapping into the brilliant minds of our developers and community leveraging all of Ravencoin's native capabilities to demonstrate disruptive technology that will change how we think about, execute and mange traditional business and financial functions. In the process, Ravencoin wins and we all win because we've we've accomplish our goals by embracing and executing the very technology that we believe in and brought us together as a Raven community. I would hope that would make the world sit up and take notice.

Anyway, thanks for bearing with me on the long read. Just wanted to get these thoughts out of my head and out to community where the smart folks reside. No hurt feelings if the consensus is this is a batshit crazy idea, inherently flawed or naïve. That's what the community is all about. Throw ideas out there, debate them and run them to ground to see if there's merit. And if we get a few poop emojis along the way in the process, don't take it personal :-).
